Intern Risk, Compliance & I-ESG

The department and position

Within Invest International, the Risk, Compliance & I-ESG unit “Risk” is responsible for the approval process of project proposals. The department provides Risk opinions and comments on all project proposals that are considered at Invest International. The analysis of projects covers financial aspects, ESG aspects, and compliance aspects. At the same time, we report on a wide range of Risk issues and provide advice on KYC (Know Your Customer) files.

We are looking for an intern who can support us in the following tasks:

• Analysis of project proposals for loans and grants.

• In-depth research on projects.

• Preparation of reports.

• Help draft Compliance documents.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a MSc or BSc degree and registered at a Dutch university/business school.

• Well-developed analytical skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A can-do attitude with desire to learn.

• Experienced MS Office suite user and particularly proficient in excel.

• Excellent time management and organization skills.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

• Available for a minimum 6 months and a minimum of 3 days a week.

Please note that interns need to be registered as a student for the whole length of the internship.

We bring the international financing of high-risk, innovative solutions to the next level. Organisation
Invest International is a new state-owned company set-up by the Dutch government. It is a private company funded with public capital. Its purpose is to foster innovative (Dutch) solutions for global challenges and to make the necessary investments feasible. The company’s hybrid business model enables it to support governments and companies by providing capital as well as project development capacity.

Invest International has opened its doors as of October 2021, in The Hague. Around 80 employees have joined from two organizations, FMO and RVO and brought their existing work into the new company. The company now consists of 170 staff.
