Organization

Invest International opened its doors in October 2021, in The Hague. We are a state-owned company set up by the Dutch government. A private company funded with public capital. We are a new organization and are continuously developing. Our people are aligned with our mission and our 7 people drivers guide the way we work together.

The position

In this role you will be reporting to the KYC Manager, and you will be responsible for:

• Thoroughly checking the Customer Due Diligence files that have been established by the Investment Teams if they are in line with the requirements as outlined in the KYC Procedures.

• Continually making updates to the KYC Procedures based on the evolving AML requirements.

• Upgrading the quality of files in close cooperation not only with the Investment Teams, but also with the 2nd Line Compliance Department.

• Coordination of KYC requests on Invest International by other institutions.

• Acting as advisor and sparring partner for specific KYC Risks, with the knowledge and experience to give such advice to the Front Office Management on the acceptance of clients from a KYC perspective.

• Coaching and giving guidance to less experienced deal team colleagues on KYC matters.

• Periodically hosting or contributing to interactive KYC trainings or e-learnings for the deal teams.

• Regularly participating in deal-team meetings to identify main KYC Risks and recommend conditions - in case of doubt proactively engages Compliance Officers. The latter provide advice and conditions on all new deals and all High Risk (A) clients.

• Improving the registration, motivation, and uniform application of CDD risks.

• Ensuring that deadlines are being met and effective decisions are being made.

• Ad hoc KYC requirements such as client screenings or full KYC assessments on behalf of the support units for the deal teams.

Requirements

KYC Officers in general have gained experience as e.g. KYC Analyst and have a profound and in-depth knowledge of all relevant KYC risks and requirements (including in depth Wwft knowledge). Within the KYC Team they review KYC Files on both documentary completeness and on the qualitative risk assessment.

Furthermore, final candidates have:

• A degree within Finance, Economics, or Investment Banking.

• Minimum 3-years In-depth knowledge of Customer Due Diligence and compliance is required.

• Minimum 1-year of experience in Quality Assurance of complex files ideally within one of the larger Dutch Commercial Banks preferably with corporate clients in an emerging market environment.

• Certified by an AML certification authority (such as ICA or ACAMS).

• Fluent in English. Dutch proficiency is a plus.

• Salary level 15: depending on experience, between €4,410 and €5,237 per month with a 40-hour working week, excluding holiday pay and 13th month. There is also the possibility of working 36 hours per week.
