Organization

Invest International opened its doors in October 2021, in The Hague. We are a state-owned company set up by the Dutch government. A private company funded with public capital. We are a new organization and are continuously developing. Our people are aligned with our mission and our 7 people drivers guide the way we work together.

With a targeted date of 1 January 2028, Invest-NL and Invest International will integrate to form a full-fledged National Promotional Institution. This integration increases the effectiveness of public investments and international cooperation, improves access to financing for entrepreneurs, and strengthens the economic resilience of the Netherlands. The position

You will be part of the IT & Change team, in which you will drive change, manage projects as well as guide other project managers to follow a collective way of working within projects. Invest International is looking for an experienced and result-oriented person that can lead a wide variety of changes and projects for Invest International.

You are responsible for initiating, structuring, and realizing projects related to processes, data, and systems. You translate complex issues into concrete action plans, ensure clear deliverables, and ensure continuous improvement within the organization.

You will be working together with business process owners, subject matter experts/champions, and stakeholders within the whole company. 

Responsibilities

We are looking for a purpose driven professional with a successful track record in project- and change management and who provides the skills, knowledge, and experience in order to:

• Problem analysis and planning: determine the problem definition together with stakeholders and translate it into a clear plan of action and step-by-step plan.

• Project management: lead projects from start to finish, monitor planning, budget and quality, and report on progress and results.

• Analyse new business ideas and determine impact on processes, products, and IT. Make impact-analyses on all aspects of a project.

• Lean & Continuous Improvement: apply Lean methodologies, supervise improvement processes, and stimulate a culture of continuous improvement.

• Stakeholder management: switch effectively between different departments, from IT to business, and know how to connect interests. Report to the Steerco or MT on project progress and make clear decision documents.

• Knowledge sharing & Coaching: actively share your knowledge about Lean and project management with colleagues and coach and support other projectmanagers

• Collaborate with our team and our business analysts in particular.

Experience, qualifications and characteristics

• You have at least 5-plus years of experience and a proven record as a project manager in business development, IT, or improvement projects.

• You have a relevant BSc or MSc degree.

• Have a Prince2 or IPMA certification.

• Have a Lean Greenbelt certification (preferably Blackbelt certification)

• You are Agile minded.

• Strong affinity with the mission and vision of Invest International.

• Positive mindset and high energy level.

• You have experience in the financial and/or government sector and are used to work autonomously in your field of expertise. You are able to be part of and contribute to a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

• As we work with several external suppliers, you have the skillset to bridge the interests of our company in the relationship that we have with them; you easily and constructively collaborate with external suppliers.

• You have the proven capacity to grasp and oversee the complete project management trajectories. Consequently, you understand what is necessary in those projects in terms determining next steps.

• You have affinity with administrative processes related to a financial institution.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

• Focus on cooperation with can-do-mentality and ability to bridge conflicts of interest.

• You have excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both written and verbal.

What We Offer

• Salary level 16: depending on experience, between EUR 5,259 and EUR 6,245 per month with a 40-hour working week, excluding holiday pay and 13th month. There is also the possibility of working 36 hours per week.
